Conyers Dill & Pearman advised Bank of Montreal on its acquisition of Hong Kong wealth management firm Lloyd George Management (LGM), which closed in April 2011.

Lawyers from Conyers’ corporate and funds practices advised on the laws of Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Mauritius from several of the firm’s offices, working alongside Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Conyers’ global network is well placed to advise on this transaction, and regularly advises clients on complex multi-jurisdictional transactions. The firm has invested heavily in strengthening its BRIC market presence and continues to win major mandates in the emerging markets.

LGM is an independent investment manager specialising in Asia and global emerging markets with a presence in Hong Kong, London, Singapore, Mumbai and Florida. It has approximately US$6bn under management.
