BERMUDA: THE HEDGE FUNDS JURISDICTION OF CHOICE

Bermuda's regulatory framework has long been one of its key selling points - hedge fund managers consider Bermuda to be one of the best regulated jurisdictions available, with a long track record in the industry. The new Investments Funds Act 2006 (the Act), which came into force on 7 March 2007, introduced a number of changes, although the regulatory framework for Bermuda's hedge fund industry remains largely intact.
